Lynn Gothard's new Loft

Lynn Gothard lives in Franklin, TN.  She is just getting started in Racing Pigeons.  This is Lynn's new loft.  There are several ideas Lynn incorporated into her new loft that are worth looking at.  Besides the usual aviary front that hinges down Lynn also incorporated a swing open door that allows for access with out dropping the whole front.  A super idea.  Lynn also incorporated a "Poop Shoot" as I call it'  A door at floor level where you can scrape the floor out into a container for easy removal.  Lynn is the only person I have had reports of rain blowing in the roof vent, so she added a flashing above the vent that still allows air to escape but stops the rain from blowing in.  Lynn added clear roof panels or "Sky Lights" to let more light in.  And then there's the "Sputnik" and settling cage on the back wall of the loft.  Because her loft faces North Lynn wanted an area on the South where her birds could get out in the full sun so she added the Sputnik on the back South facing wall.

This is truly a super example of the "Starter Loft" with a lot on trick ideas incorporated.  Lynn had some help building her new loft but did most of the work herself.  Lynn can be very proud of her new loft.
