Long Distance

Our Long Distance Birds are bred out of two Cocks, Franny, Linda's Old English Barker, and Studly, Steve's old Desmett Mathys Cock

Barkers

The  Old English Barker", the undisputed "Hard Core Champion".  The Barkers are a slow plug-a-long bird that will make it home no matter what.  They are famous for flying through anything where other birds would go around or go down.  We have actually seen Barker Young Birds fly straight through Thunder Storms to make it home.    "Franny", is the core of our Barker Loft, we are breeding out of one super son of Franny and two Pure Barker Hens we got to go with them.

GB 98 K 60069, "Franny Bird", "Franny" is of the two Barkers Linda imported from her old loft in England.  "Franny" is named after his breeder, Francis Forrester.  "Franny", when in England was Linda's best "Channel" bird having earned several diplomas racing across the English Channel. "Franny" has also excelled as a breeder with one of his young winning by over ten minutes.  Linda has always enjoyed showing and twice "Franny" has taken "Best of Show" even against the "Fancy" breeds.   In 2003 Franny bred a bird that actually flew straight through 3 separate Thunder Storms to win the club as the only "Day Bird" in up state New York.

Desmett Mathys

The Desmett Mathys have long had the reputation of a good long distance bird.  "Studly", our "Logo Bird" is Desmett Mathys, who's Sire was bred by the great Tony Melucci.  Studly's kids have won at all distances, over different courses, He is truly a "Foundation Cock" that breeds a super "All Around" Bird.

AU 93 ARPU 23819, "Studly","Studly's" sire was bred by Tony Melucci and at one time won the Las Vegas Classic.  "Studly" was bred and raced by Donald Corcoran of Mont.  "Studly" used to race from the crest of the Cascade Mountains in WA. over the Rockies down to Bozeman, MT.  "Studly" was the first cock I bought when I started racing and he has proved to be a top breeder, and father extraordinaire.  At one time raising seven babies at once.  There nothing in life "Studly" enjoys more than raising young.  His poor hen has to fight to get a turn on the nest.  "Studly" is definitely a one in a million and is our loft "Logo" bird.  Every year "Studly" breeds top birds. In 2000 "Studly" bred 2nd Champion Bird, Club.  In 2002 "Studly" bred 3 of the top 18 birds in the Concourse out of over 1800 birds, and a Futurity money winner.  And already in 2003 "Studly" has bred us a Futurity Money Winner.
